When children enter YCS, they sanitize their hands and their temperature is recorded. In our preschool wing, we also have a disinfecting and air purifying machine, similar to ones used in medical facilities and clinics.
Parents drop students off outside of the building and are met by teachers at the door. Social distancing practices are followed for drop-off and pick-up.
Hand washing and sanitation procedures are worked into daily routines to keep staff and students safe.
Students arrive at school and hang backpacks on hooks that are spaced safely apart. Each child has their own set of supplies and are assigned certain places to sit in order to maintain safe distances during activities.
Our office also has a safety shield for when parents need to communicate directly, in person.
