Clubs or extracurricular activities make a school unique from others. YCS provides a variety of clubs to address different interests of our students.
The full program of club activities is announced at the beginning of each academic year.
Mondays 3:10 pm – 3:50 pm Grades 1+
We will teach vocal technique, voice production and projection, learning to sing in two part harmony, movement and rhythm, help build confidence, solo singing opportunities, performances and overall to have fun singing! No previous singing experience or ability to read music is needed, students will be taught by ear.
Tuesdays 3:10 pm – 3:50 pm Grades 1+
An entry level to understand the basic fundamentals of code. Learning code is fundamental to active and informed participation in an increasingly digital society and provides a critical lens for interpreting the world around us. Lessons will entail high-quality, approachable experiences to engage students in computer science.
Wednesdays 3:10 pm – 3:50 pm Grades 1+ (canceled on early dismissal days)
A place where students may work on homework quietly under supervision and can ask questions and get assistance from the sponsoring staff person. If homework is completed, there will always be reading material or educational activities available to work on quietly.
Thursdays 3:10 pm – 3:50 pm Grades 1+
Welcome to the wonderful world of reading, where we can learn while having fun! Would you like to go on an adventure? Are you ready to bring characters to life and dive deep into their world? If yes, then you are most welcome to join! Let’s tap on our imaginations as we embark on an adventure together with your favorite book characters!

Want a club that has exercise, fun, goal setting, and adventure? Then come and join the running club! And don’t worry, the goals are not to be the fastest but to be faster than you were before–striving for improvement and personal bests.
